Basic Eyeliner look

Hey girls and guys! Now it's common for guys to wear makeup and a little eyeliner won't hurt!

Think eyeliner and i think Adam Lambert, i think without makeup or the liner, he'll prob not stand out so much!

Once you start learning to do makeup the first thing u most prob wanna learn is how to draw your eyeliner. For a lot of girls, they cant leave their house without it. Eyeliner has the magic ability to make our eyes looks bigger and more attractive. There are basically 3 types: pencil, liquid and gel.

For beginners its better to start with the pencil cuz it's easiest to control. But if you like liquid or gel but you're not confident of drawing it well, u can use pencil as the base and then use the liquid or gel eyeliner over it. It will help you to "stay on track". A lot of friends ask me for tips to draw the eyeliner so here's my 2 cents below.

I prefer liquid for upper eyelid cuz it's easy to apply, remove and not easily smudge when it drys up. And pencil or even eyeshadow (in dark brown) for my lower eyelid, but i seldom do that unless i need to do full makeup for formal events. :)

This is what works for me when i just learn how to use eyeliner, you can try:

1) Close the eye you're working on, for most asian girls, u need a little extra help to find ur lashline as we have thicker eyelids. With the help of ur finger, gently pull ur eyelid upwards.

2) Start from the back: using ur eyeliner, first draw a clean & simple line starting from halfway/ quarterway of ur eyes. Remember we want to get a clean line, unless u wanna go party dun need to pull the line so high up. just follow your eye shape.

3) The liner is also suppose to create a full lash look, so the most natural place to end ur liner is the place where your liner becomes one with your lashes. See photo below

4) Lastly with the help your finger, move to the inner corner of ur eye and gently pull the eyelid again. Now join up from the inner corner of ur eyes to the line that you've already drawn. The reason for doing it like this is to prevent drawing outofline and making it too thick which is the case if u're not an expert.

TADA!

With more practice, soon you wont even need to pull ur eyelids or start halfway from the back. You will naturally rmb where to draw ur liner. When that happens, you may wanna try drawing ur lower eyeline and ur inner eyeline (underneath your lashes)! Stay tune for part 2! :D
